The Amoeba Earrings pair organic, freeform shapes with a playful mix of scattered color, creating miniature abstract artworks for your ears. Bright enough to spark compliments, lightweight enough for everyday wear.
 
Each piece is meticulously crafted in a solar powered studio in Northern California, and features a silky matte finish for a modern yet timeless feel. Lightweight and versatile, these earrings are perfect for adding a pop of color to any outfit. They are all shaped randomly by hand so no 2 will be the same. Adding to the uniqueness of each earring, the confetti is a sprinkle of clay leftover from making my solid color designs, so I don't have any waste in my studio!

  • Clouds + Ladders jewelry is handmade in Kate Joseph's solar-powered studio in a redwood forest north of San Francisco. Each piece may show differences in color or texture, which should be considered a part of what makes owning a piece of handmade jewelry special and unique. Due to the handmade nature of Clouds + Ladders Jewelry, most issues are resolved by exchanging for a different item or providing a store credit. Please use the Contact page if you have any questions or concerns, and someone will respond ASAP.

Handmade brass and cast bronze frames filled with artists' grade polymer clay. Surgical steel/nickel -free posts. Each earring has a drop of resin on the back to prevent metal touching the ears of people with sensitive skin.

Remove your jewelry before using any perfume, lotion, hair products, etc. Store your jewelry in a closed container with an anti-tarnish square. The anti-tarnish square should be replaced every 3-4 months - you can reuse the desiccant packs that are found in new shoes, dried fruit, etc. Brass naturally darkens as it ages. By following the above recommendations, you’ll keep it looking shinier for longer. While many people prefer the aged look, if you want to restore the original luster, use a polishing cloth to shine the metal parts.  If you notice residue on the colorful areas, you can clean them with a small amount of nail polish remover on a q-tip or cotton ball.
